I have phoned Dillinger twice (separate days) and was greeted with an answering machine on both occasions. I left a message asking them to get back to me and was hoping this could be done within 24 hours but alas this was not the case. So the after sales service is a little disappointing at the moment. 🙁

I bought the RipStrip and sent it straight back. Couldnt fit a Galaxy S7 in it and felt like it was backed by Cardboard. Replaced it with a HighAbove Das Bum Bag (Fanny pack) or for the enduro bro’s waist bag.
It wasn’t long before I was using my bike for other hunting chores, like hanging tree stands. Of course, you’re not going to carry a ladder stand through the woods on a bike, but lock-on type stands and even some climbers are easy to strap to the rack. By using the front basket to carry a bag of screw-in tree steps, a safety harness and a haul line, and tasking the rear rack to carry the stand, hauling my entire set-up to even remote parts of my hunting property was a simple affair.

One tactic involves using the bike to ride primary doe trails, taking note of cross-trails — which are easy to see after the season is over — along the way. I don’t mind if I bump a buck at this time of year, either, since my bike and I will be long forgotten by the following fall.
Then it stopped abruptly to peer intently at something through the woods, head bobbing up and down as it strained to make sense of the object of curiosity — and I saw that my bike was actually much closer than I had realized, less than 10 yards from the matriarch. The animal finally seemed satisfied that the inanimate object was no threat and resumed feeding on white oak acorns.
Still, I strongly advocate swimming for mountain hunting. An hour of hard swimming gives you a good cardio effect, and it gives you a solid upper-body workout. Most people who do nothing but run or bike have weak upper bodies.

Based on the opinions that have been shared by the people who have used it, this is a good option because it is lightweight. In spite of being light, its performance can be comparable to the full bows from the same manufacturer, with the only difference being that the latter are heavier. This product comes with five years of limited warranty from the manufacturer.

Bikes can be surprisingly stealthy contraptions. One day a couple of years ago, I was riding back to my truck after a morning hunt. As I got within sight of the vehicle, I saw that my hunting buddy had made it back before me. Although I wasn’t trying to be especially quiet, I was able to ride right up behind him without him even knowing I was there. He nearly jumped out of his skin when I skidded to a stop!

The Dillenger Hunter is an off road electric bike at the top of our range of production off-road models, featuring the brand new monster BBS-HD (1,000W nominal, 1,600W peak) power unit, long travel downhill forks, 180mm hydraulic disk brakes and high power Panasonic battery. With a top speed of 50km/h (30mph) it’s an obvious staff favorite. This model is strictly for sale as ‘off road, private property use only’. Cleverly styled to resemble a regular ebike, the Hunter is anything but. It’s a staff favourite because you can cruise along at crazy speed on something that feels overly powerful, but doesn’t look like a motorbike. The new model hunter also features Maxxis High Roller dual ply 2.5″ wide tyres, Panasonic 3,500mAh 10.4Ah high drain, high energy battery (now 500Wh!) and Agentura REPRO patented GearSensor.
“I thought I’d give a fat tire snow bike a try,” Spreng explains. “It worked great on snow and ice, but it wasn’t fast enough for me. So, I put an electric motor on my snow bike. It was brilliant. Now I could go 15 to 20 miles per hour on snow-covered trails and roads while still getting a terrific workout. That’s really how Defiant Bicycles and the Big Easy model were born.”

Safariland Patrol Bike

Safariland partnered with Kona to create the Patrol police bike. We thought its features would ideally serve the hunter and had it custom-painted brown for better concealment. The basic bike features a Kona Racelight Aluminum 7005 frame, hydraulic disc brakes, RockShox front forks, Shimano 30-speed drivetrain, and a solid rear rack. Best of all, it sports 29-inch wheels for increased off-road capabilities over rough terrain and obstacles.
Fanny packs. If enduro wasn’t already the lamest marketing trend since 27.5″ wheels, the ass backwards 80’s fanny pack has suddenly reared its ugly head in some misguided https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Electric_bikes of pseudo euro fashion statement. Damn it.
The Game Tracker is a three wheel on and off road vehicle that allows you to hunt deep into the woods for your favorite game. Hit the woods with ease on this street legal vehicle; just load up your gear and supplies and you are ready for a day of hunting.
TIG-welded attachment points on the frame’s rear end allow the addition of a rack. Carrying your gear on the bike results in greater agility and less fatigue in your back and feet for longer hours in the field.
The one downside is that it’s nearly as large as some of the smaller hydration pack offerings on the market. Despite it’s size, when cinched just right, the bag stayed in place with minimal bouncing. Overall, I’d say this $50 Dakine bag is best suited for pack rats, or those on  backcountry adventures who need to carry a wide assortment of kit.
Another of the bike’s virtues: It’s basically devoid of petroleum aromas and other smells associated with internal-combustion vehicles: no gas, oil, coolant or transmission fluid to leave scent trails through the woods. Think of the bike’s tires as rolling rubber hunting boots: If your bike does double duty, its tires can obviously pick up scents from roads and parking lots, but if it’s a dedicated hunting tool, you’re virtually assured scent-free passages.
Before I started bowhunting, I had no idea of the joy that hunting unpressured deer brings. Only one other archer was in my hunting club, and those first few weeks before gun season started were truly wonderful.

Being from the mountains of PA I always had to pack all my gear and camping equipment into a backpack and by the time I reached my destination, I was exhausted. …The EEMule is a very powerful, very silent bike that has no trouble scaling tall mountains and rough terrain. I should also mention, this bike does great in the snow due to its wide tires. 10/10 and highly recommended. See More

I am missing your point. Your whole comment was comparing weight to hp ratios. I am saying that is absurd due to the fact we are talking about 60lb bicycles – not motorcycles. And by the way the new Zero MX is only 260lbs. It’s lighter then the Honda cfr450r which is Honda’s light weight comp bike of the same hp. It all depends on where you get your data points. But back to the bikes – have you not seen anyone pedal faster than 40mph? Should the Tour de France eliminate pedals? Their time trials average 34mph. You also have ultimate range on a bike, until your fat butt runs out of steam. Range on an ebike is about 30-100 miles on one charge. Don’t know anyone that really wants to go any further than that but I guess you can stop off and fill up your gas bike at around the same point. Gas bicycles suck. Let me say this again – this articles was about bicycles, not motorcycles, cars or scooters. These bikes technically can ride in the bike lane.

I decided to http://huntnbike.com my own cargo-style rear rack with a wooden platform. To do this I took a 1″x 4″ board of “strong” wood, maple, I believe, and cut it to the desired length. I then determined the exact location for this platform on my rack and used perforated metal hanging strap that you can buy at any home improvement store to attach the bottom side of the platform to the rack. I used short wood screws and cut the strap to small lengths and screwed the rack and platform tight in several locations.
The CB4 frame has attachment points for 1, 2, or 3 standard water bottle cage mounts, depending on the space available on each frame size (larger frames have more bottle mounts, smaller ones have less). The fork has 2 mid-blade mounts and 2 sets of triple-boss attachment points, one on each leg, for oversize cages on the fork to expand carrying capacity for water, stove fuel, sleeping pads and other gear.

Ease of use is an innate characteristic of the Genesis Bow. Since the adjustment performed by the buyers can occur both easily and in a timely fashion, this leaves the users enjoying the game a lot more. Fiddling with your equipment is a loss of time and can be quite frustrating, if you’re the owner of the wrong bow. That doesn’t happen with this model, as it’s not only well-built but also very easy to customize.
The first order of business: Lose all the shine. After removing all the decals, I lightly sanded the finish and wiped the bike down thoroughly with acetone; then, every surface from which light could reflect was covered with olive-drab spray paint. My ride looked cooler already.
Johnson hunts on-the-go with the bike along remote forest trails. We must note that we do not recommend riding with a loaded gun. We also urge readers to check local and state regulations first if they decide to pedal into the forest in pursuit of game.
I bought this bike with intended use on my hunting farms. I’ve ridden it now off road several times, and to say I’m blown away, is an understatement. This bike simply blew me away on all fronts. The motor is super strong and pulls me around great. I’m 6’2 210 so I’m not a small guy either. Like others have said, if this thing doesn’t make you smile the first time you ride it, you’re just not a happy person!!!!
The frame and fork receive a tough Realtree Xtra® camouflage finish and the components are anodized black and bead blasted to a no-glare finish. Multiple finish options include Realtree Xtra®, Realtree Max4®, Realtree AP Blaze® or Forest green.
The problem with my bike was that there was not a top mounting plate for a kickstand. There was, however, a small opening in my frame for the bolt to extend through. You have got to check out the tire lever that I modified to become the top mounting plate for the kickstand. It works really well, and I have not had to re-tighten or mess with it yet! Simply cut a tire lever with a hack saw to match the width of your frame. And then carve a similar curve with a knife or saw on the other side. Tire levers have this circular indention on one side, and that is exactly where I drilled my hole to fit the kickstand bolt. And voila! The kickstand works great!
More often than not, hunters try to use a bow that has too much draw weight so they can get more speed when they shoot their arrows. Ideally, you will want to find the right amount of draw weight that will allow you to pull back smoothly and hold the arrow steady while you are taking aim. This smooth action should be so minute, that the animal will not be able to detect you.
I have done over 200 km on this bike so far and it lives up to its specs, especially its top speed and acceleration. There are bikes out there, specifically the Specialised Turbos, which are similar in specs but much higher in price point (+$2000) – so its definitely competitively priced. The only issue I have had on it is the battery life. However that’s because I am 104 kg and my backpack is usually 6 kg and I always ride it in the highest power output level, the higher gears, with little or no peddling, and I live in a hilly area (some hills being 50% incline) – so its expected I would get less range (I get a range of 15 km). (Posted on 07/04/2016)
And let’s not forget the economic advantages of owning an e-bike. The annual cost of running a new family car is, on average, about $9,000 per year. Running an electric bike costs around $400 per year. And while filling a gas tank costs around $30, recharging an electric bike battery costs only about 50 cents. A tank of gas may get you further, but not 60 times further!
Pinpointing the best hunting bow in 2018 starts with the acknowledgement of a couple of tips. Now, most archers usually shoot with a full draw length for enhanced precision during each hunting trip. With more length on the draw, archers will have improved power stroke, resulting in faster arrow speeds. The faster the arrow flies, the easier it will be for the archer to reach the target. During the selection process you have to keep in mind the draw weight, which is linked to the shooting position. The draw weight is important to the hunter’s capacity to manage the string. You should take into account that hunting bows with hard cams present more difficulties in drawing and in the of process shooting.  This is probably why expert hunters recommend people to choose bows with moderately fast cams, ideal for covering different hunting conditions.
The VOLT’s 36V battery-claimed to last 70miles – is hooked up to a mid-drive motor that gives a nice balanced feel to the bike. Shimano provides the power in the form of Shimano Steps, the Japanese company’s first motor and e-bike groupset.
Batteries: Battery packs can be fitted in all kinds of different positions, but often, they are fixed to a rack behind the rider. If you plan on carrying anything, this configuration could be problematic.
What if, however, there was a First World solution that enabled you to ride more? We’re not talking about stretching the space-time continuum, knocking off early from work or making mountain bike orphans of your children every weekend… even if the solution is just as socially unacceptable to some. No, we’re talking about electric mountain bikes!

That Giant DH Comp is aluminum. Note the fat weld beads. Aluminum weld beads are 3x as fat as steel beads. Aluminum is 1/3 the weight, 1/3 the strength, but can be made 3x the diameter of chromoly for the same weight. That, and lower material, and fabrication costs, is why all major firms now use it, almost to the exclusion of chromoly.

In full-electric mode, the Pedego City Commuter Classic Electric Bike is capable of moving at up to 20 mph for anywhere from 15 to 30 miles. There are two further options: power-assisted pedaling or fully “unplugged” riding. Renowned Shimano gears are easy to select. Seldom do we come across a product so universally praised by owners. I absolutely adore my hydration pack in the way that one can only love an inanimate object they’ve carried for innumerable hours. That trusty bag has served as a makeshift pillow, hangover companion, beer tote, and trail buddy for years, yet now some reformed downhillers with moto envy have decided they’re uncool, so it’s suddenly time to trade that relationship in for a water bottle, some electrical tape, and a nylon murse.

The frame’s rear tubes maximize heel clearance while wearing boots and carrying cargo. The rear hub spacing and tube design provide clearance for fat tires without the need to ‘dish’ them outboard for tire clearance at the chain. The result is a strong wheel and a durable, efficient drivetrain.

The inspiration for the Defiant came from company founder Kevin Spreng’s frustration at the lack of appropriate winter bikes. An attorney and committed bike commuter from the Twin Cities, Kevin wanted a bike that he could ride to work and for fun year round, through the harshest Minnesota winters. There simply wasn’t anything on the market capable of getting him through the snow and slush that made riding a challenge for as many as 6 months a year in Minnesota.
While the Outfitter was intended for hunters, we think it will suit anyone who wants to bring lots of gear into the woods under their own power—with some help from that Bosch eDrive. Several photographers remarked that the set-up is ideal for lugging professional camera equipment in for a shoot, says Felt Sales Manger IanMcCabe. And you can always carry beer. One hundred pounds of beer.
TIG-welded attachment points on the frame’s rear end allow the addition of a rack. Carrying your gear on the bike results in greater agility and less fatigue in your back and feet for longer hours in the field.
The neat thing about the model is that its draw length can be adjusted from 13 inches to 30 inches. With an adjustable draw weight that can be customized between 5 and 50 lbs, it goes without saying that this bow will pose no problems to rookies and experts alike.
While its burly build and big tires are all about rough weather, its e-assisted drivetrain is aimed at sure-footed, reliable commuting. Electric bikes like the Pedego Trail Tracker make riders choose between motored propulsion and pedaling, but the Big Easy uses a pedal-assisted powertrain that provides an extra boost to get riders from point A to point B a little faster, with a little less effort. Motor assistance can also be useful for carrying heavy gear or helping the rider muscle through a particularly tough, sticky track of snow.

Mountain bikes have occupied a small niche in bowhunting for many years, but they have never gone mainstream. These bikes are not made for hunting and therefore must be modified, and their use is limited to certain terrains. That said, the growth in popularity of fat tire bikes has been quite remarkable, and I suppose it was only a matter of time before they made a serious move at the hunting market.
They all have relatively long chainstays too, which further boosts stability. While this is normally related to tyre size, the orientation of the motor plays an even bigger part, which is why the Giant has the longest chainstays, even though it has the smallest wheel size.
Sometimes you need an extra boost. Sometimes you have to get from point a to point b faster than normal. Sometimes you have to blast through a snow bank. Maybe you’re hauling a lot of hunting gear in electric hunting bike wilderness. Whatever your reason, the Big Easy’s 500 watt motor will give you that extra boost to get you where you need to go, no matter the situation.

Eric has been involved in the electric bike industry since 2002 when he started a 6000 square foot brick and mortar Electric Bike store in downtown San Francisco. He is a true believer that small electric vehicles can change the way we operate and the way we think.
The first step in building the ultimate hunting machine is picking out the bike. Personally, I didn’t want to invest a lot of money. A more passionate cyclist might criticize me on that point, arguing that you get what you pay for, and in retrospect, I might be inclined to agree with that view, as the model that I chose has required several repairs and upgrades over the past few years.
The first flat was on the rear wheel and it happened on the first day of riding. The puncture was directly over where the tube sits on the wheel, and I noted the following (a) there was no ‘rim tape’ to protect the tube from the wheel, (b) the tube had an actual inflated internal diameter of approx. 22 1/2″ to 23″ (even though it said it had a 26″ diameter) and was only 1 1/8 ” wide.
Foldability: Not all folding e-bikes are small. Some full-size electric bikes with standard 26-inch or 27.5-inch wheels can be folded to fit into compact spaces. Make sure you’re aware of a folding bike’s weight before you buy it, though. “Foldable” doesn’t always mean light.

If you’re new to hunting, you want to find the best hunting bow for a beginner and that is the Bear Archery Brave Bow Set. Matt  Recumpence has been a pioneer in adapting powerful RC-motors to electric bikes (specifically the top of the line Astro Flight stuff). After building several super powerful bicycles, Matt decided on a trike for his own set of wheels where the weight of the battery is down low, and 3 wheels is better than 2 wheels when handling the incredible high power that the Astro motor puts out in high-speed turns. Matt sells his reduction drive kits to the public, and many in the DIY community have used these to build themselves scorchingly fast and lightweight RC-powered bikes. (see our article on this trike here)
That comes as no surprise considering that this recurve bow is relatively easy to maneuver and poses no issues to owners in terms of convenience and usability. The product can be purchased both for right-handed and left-handed users.

In a friction drive motor, a small, solid wheel rotates against the side of the tire in order to drive it. The first motorcycles used the same concept, with a motor mounted above the front wheel. The problem is that the drive rubs at the side of the tire. It’s inefficient, and it quickly wears the sidewall away. Tires need to be replaced every couple hundred miles. For this reason, you’ll seldom see electric bikes with this type of drive anymore.

I continued the camouflaging process with adhesive vinyl in a popular camo pattern that a local sign company was able to order for me. The same material sometimes used to cover golf carts and panels on vehicles so I knew it would be sturdy. Applying it was more time-consuming than I’d anticipated, but in a few hours, the entire frame and several other parts were completely covered. (One tip: Putting the tape on in small pieces works much better than does trying to cover the whole thing at once. The small pieces blend together so well that everyone who’s seen the bike assumes that it was film-dipped.) The vinyl applied, I finished by breaking the remaining olive drab areas up with flat gray, tan, brown and black spray paint.
But back on point, fanny packs can be cool, I guess. For all around versatility, the Osprey Talon is the obvious winner. Despite its questionable looks, it did the best job meshing hydration, storage, beer portage, and breathability.
Though rear-wheel versions are available, most e-bike conversion kits are for the front wheel. They are easier to fit. However, they do change the balance of the bike, and brakes should also be uprated to cope with the additional weight. We’re not aware of any front hub motors on purpose-built electric bikes.
I recently read an article about what the average person can do to prevent climate change and a green commute was at the top of the list. Besides everyone needs a project to work on during the winter or rainy months.
Lithium manganese batteries are used in the latest Nissan Leaf electric car. It’s claimed they generate more power and last longer. The new Leaf has double the range of its predecessor, but we’ve seen these batteries in very few (and very expensive) e-bikes so far.
The unit takes the cake when it comes to durability as it features a strong piece-layered limb. Additionally, you won’t have any trouble holding this bow as it makes sure that your grip is as firm as it can be considering that it comes with bubbled grooves on the riser.
Recently electric fat-tire bikes have entered the realm of hunting.  The ATA show this year featured a few different national brands of these bikes being marketed specifically at the hunting community.  Sticking with my mantra of being hyper-local, I was able to get my hands on entry level Shooter-750 manufactured by a company called Huntin’ Wheelz based right here in Clare, Michigan.  This electric hunting bike’s specs equal or exceed the brands with the bigger marketing budgets but at a fraction of the cost.

First up is the FlashFlo LR from Camelbak, which retails for $57. This pack is designed for hiking and is the only one in our test that integrates a hydration bladder. There is one main cinch for the waist, while a secondary set of straps allow you to further compress the bag for improved stabilization.
If there’s one category in mountain biking that polarizes opinion more than any other it’s ebikes. It’s a complex debate that charged further because of issues with land access, trail sustainability and even the legislation governing the maximum speed of the bikes.
It wouldn’t take much to bolster the Giant’s rating. A shorter stem, wider handlebar and some thicker casing tyres would be all it would take. If, however, Giant wants to turbo charge the Full E+ 1 and compete with the likes of Specialized and Trek, it’s going to need a compete overhaul. The length of the frame needs to be increased, the gear range needs expanding and that old square taper crank spindle on the Yamaha motor really needs to be put back in the museum. As it stands, the Full E+ 1 is more of a towpath power-house than a genuine singletrack slayer.
Some people may not be aware that when it comes to bows, there is a difference between hunting bows and target bows. A hunting bow has a shorter axle to axle length. The newer bows can be as short as 32”, and because of this, it is a lot easier for the hunter to move in a tree stand. Also, they are usually camouflaged so the prey cannot see the bow. A target bow is the opposite, as it has a longer axle to axle length. This makes them a little more forgiving and are far more stable. These bows are a little more cumbersome and they usually are brightly colored.
Battery costs vary enormously. Cheap batteries are available, but you just don’t know what you’re getting. Our advice is to buy only those recommended by the manufacturer. You’ll likely pay between $300 and $500, but the good news is you’ll only be buying one every few years.
Defiant has produced its prototype and two new versions of the Big Easy. All suppliers and vendors have been identified and contracted with. 30 frames have been manufactured and inventoried. All of these frames are 19 in frames with a 61cm top tube. Based on the success of the Big Easy on Crowd Supply, we plan to add more frame size options. The released product has been developed and built in the US.
The second e-bike of our household. This thing looks even more gangster than it does in the photos. A real head turner. The BBS02 has power to burn and with the “Hot Rod-ing” of the throttle makes the world of difference to the way the kit responds. The other bike a BBS02 is not a Hot Rod and its going to have to be now that I have ridden one that is. The Hunter is not built for lightness. It is a heavy bike. The front fork works extremely well and handles all the bumps. The seatpost also aides the ride as it has a spring on it as well. The seat is also a relatively padded one. The The Hydrolic brakes work very well. My other bike has a Shimano 10 speed free wheel on the rear derailer. This gives an excellent range and combined with the standard front cog on the BBS02 is well matched. The Deore is a good quality unit and I am happy to see it on the Hunter as well. The only thing missing IMHO is a mid drive gear changer sensor. I have one on my home build. Problem is you can’t have a gear sensor and a e-brake cutoff so Dillenger have gone for safety over function on this one point. Bafang needs to build a splitter cable for the e-brake cut out plug which allows you to split into two plugs so you can have the e-brake as well as a gear sensor running on the same plug. Full points to you Dillenger for putting this one together – an almost complete off road unit bar the tyres. The ones on the bike aren’t off road knobblies which surprises me but its a minor swap out. (Posted on 30/09/2015)

Unknown: It is still early days for me riding this bike, and the only unknown for me is battery life! All indicators suggest that keeping it ‘almost’ topped up, by recharging once a month and traveling down the street and back a couple of times (say 2kms-ish) is the best way to get the maximum number of recharges and performance out of this battery.

What exactly is an electric bike? How can they be used for transportation and why do they make financial sense? These are some of the questions my site http://electricbikereview.com and this channel aim to help you answer. This particular video provides an overview of the Easy Motion Neo Jumper ebike and then follows me on an actual commute to work in Austin Texas.
The advantages of fat tire bikes are many. You can ride them over rough or muddy ground, even snow. They are geared for rough terrain and provide good traction and balance. They will ride right over small obstructions such as branches and rocks, obstacles that might trip up a normal mountain bike. These bikes are built to take the beating a hunter will dish out.
Running. This is No. 1 because you must push all your weight forward with the largest muscles in your body – legs – and you use all your muscles – legs, core, shoulders, arms. If you’re overweight or out of shape, start by walking, and then progress to jogging and running as you get in shape. Other great cardio builders are the Stairmaster, NordicTrack, elliptical, treadmill, and other machines that rely on the legs electric hunting bike equipment bringing the entire body into play. Work up to a minimum of an hour a day, four to five times per week.

You’re probably thinking that if you can pack twice as much riding into the same amount of time, then surely the bikes are going to wear out twice as fast? The short answer is, yes! And if you’re always riding the same trails, that means more wear and tear on Mother Nature.
TIG-welded attachment points on the frame’s rear end allow the addition of a rack. Carrying your gear on the bike results in greater agility and less fatigue in your back and feet for longer hours in the field.
Farfle took hot rodding a hub motor to a new level. Read about his elaborate hub re-build here.   With over 90 of hours of skilled  labor into this motor, Farfle invested heavy into making one of the fastest electric bikes ever.
The EeMule is an awesome instrument in back country hunting! This Electric bike finally delivers the needs of the DIY hunter wanting to get in where others don’t travel. An unpressured deer is a different animal: It moves around throughout the day, relaxed and casual in its movements. It strolls into open areas during daylight without even considering that it might need to look up into trees to check for humans.
• Gun/Bow Holder – Universal gun/bow-holder mount transforms the Rambo Bikes Electric Vehicle into a true travel tool for hunters. Canadian “Dr Bass” is considered one of the pioneers in hot rodding hub motors (read our hot rod hub motor primer here) and has been doing it for years. His motor of choice is the large Crystalyte 5304, the same 25-lb rear hub-motor used in the Stealth Bomber. His bike of choice like many other guerrilla E-bike builders is a full suspension bike with an extra large triangle for convenient mid frame giant battery strap-ons….the Giant Down-Hill Comp. This bikes battery uses 100-volts, and puts out 150-amps for a mind-blowing 15,000 watts (20-horsepower, the national street-legal limit in the US is one-HP). Dr Bass holds the only official world speed record on an electric bike at a verified 58-MPH.  He is in contention with the young guns:  Liveforphysics and Farfle  to break the E-bike 100-MPH barrier. He has his hands full.

First and foremost, make sure that when wiring the lights and front switch you measure and connect your wires without them connected to the batteries. (This will prevent damaging your switch or newly purchased lights.) My main wiring goal was to power the head lights, the front horn, and tail lights all with one set of wires from the batteries.
By investing in a new hunting bow, you will want to set a budget, as the bows can get quite expensive. It is possible to find a good bow under your budget, however you may fall victim to a cheap bow. Always do your research and test the bow in person if it is possible.
Cycling. Biking doesn’t give the quick cardio returns of running because you (probably) cannot hit your training heart rate as quickly. That’s because you’re essentially using only your legs, and the bike seat supports most of your weight.
At the other end of the spectrum, a bike can be used purposely to lay down a scent trail. Try pouring your favorite estrous-doe urine into a small pump-spray bottle and spraying it onto a small spot on a tire. Every time that tire goes around it leaves an olfactory footprint just like a hot doe’s.

This modular functionality in my opinion is very important. And the fact that batteryspace.com’s products are designed and assembled in the USA is important to me. So I made my decision to go with these batteries. Of course I would have to buy four 12-volt packs and 16 LED balancing modules. I would also have to buy a 52-volt smart charger to charge all of the batteries when I wire them in series. A 52-volt charger would prevent me from having to babysit the batteries during the charging process, which was really important to me. The smart charger automatically cuts power when the batteries are full, preventing overcharging issues.

Combining some eating restraint with exercise, I dropped to an ideal 165, and I’ve held that weight ever since with a simple plan: 1) Cut out the ice cream. As an ice cream-aholic, I had to break the habit (with the exception of birthdays and an occasional celebratory Coldstone after a great hunting trip or race). Maybe your weakness is soda. Drink water. Identify your weakness and go on the wagon. 2) Stick with two helpings. I used to eat until I could eat no more. Now I hold myself to two reasonable helpings.

The 750 watts of power is supplied to the rear hub by either pedal assist (the bike senses torque applied to the pedals and gives 5 levels of assist), or simply by the throttle integrated into the right hand grip.  The throttle will give you full assist on demand at any time.  The bike easily gets up to 20mph.  It will be a welcome break not having to pedal with all sorts of cold weather hunting gear, a backpack, and a weapon.
Hey Im trying to build an ebike sort of like dr bass’s. I like how the motor is from crystalyte but i dont know what controller or battery or ect to put on it. I want the bike to go maybe 40 mph and have a 20 mile range. please help
Here are two more advantages I see: One is the reduction in scent impact when travelling in my hunting area. My boots are not touching the ground, and I will be moving faster, leaving less signs of my intrusion that might alarm deer. Secondly, I ride a bike quite a bit on trails through wooded areas near my home, and I see that deer react much differently to a person on a bike than they do to a person on foot. They don’t see a person sitting on a pair of wheels as nearly the threat that they perceive a person walking. I’m not sure how much that will be an advantage, but spooking deer while scouting and travelling to and from a hunting location could be reduced.
They also have a strong but lightweight cart you can pull behind your bike. Load it up with treestands, hunting gear, or pull your trophy whitetail out of the woods on it. This little workhorse can handle loads of up to 300 pounds!

If this were a beauty contest the Specialized Turbo Levo FSR Comp 6Fattie would have wooed the judges with its stunning aluminium frame, dazzling LED control pad, clever design and easygoing personality. It helps too, that it’s the most robust design in this test. Get past its devilish good looks, however, and you quickly realise that the Turbo Levo isn’t without fault. Power delivery from the Brose motor can be a little erratic, especially if you prefer to spin rather than mash on the pedals, and the frame sizing isn’t as generous as the Trek.

Progress is so rapid that in many ways it’s feels like the dawn of mountain biking once again. Geometry is all over the map, new bands like Bosch are entering the mix, and MTB household names like Fox, SRAM and Shimano are all scrambling to develop bespoke ebike components.
If your frame doesn’t have water bottle mounts or you simply need to carry more water on your trail riders, you might as well just strap those tools onto your frame (via something like the Specialized SWAT system), and get your enduro on with the FlashFlo.

The first flat was electric hunting bike the rear wheel and it happened on the first day of riding.
So before I crown a victor, let me put this out there – I am not entirely sold on the fanny pack. Maybe I’ll be completely alone on this, but hydration bags are just so damn convenient. Why spend time awkwardly fumbling around for a water bottle when you can run a spigot straight to your face? Hell, I stay better hydrated when I wear a bag because it’s so much easier and I’m not worried about running out of water. Not to mention that I don’t have to worry about salmonella because maybe my carbon wonder bike only has one water cage, and it’s located in the most inaccessible place imaginable.
Admittedly, ATVs outperform bikes when it comes to one critical task: getting a deer out of the woods. Sorry, folks, but I’ve tried it all — plastic sleds, bike trailers, you name it — and there’s just no good way to lug dead weight with a bike.
The weight of the bow can be a huge factor when you are trying to choose from the top ten hunting bows. When the bow is too heavy, you will find that the bow is too uncomfortable to hold and you may even feel fatigued. Also, keep in mind that the total weight of the bow will be a little higher once you add the quiver full of arrows into the mix. Of course, if the bow is too light, you will find it is too hard to keep it steady while trying to take aim.
Johnson hunts on-the-go with the bike along remote forest trails. We must note that we do not recommend riding with a loaded gun. We also urge readers to check local and state regulations first if they decide to pedal into the forest in pursuit of game.
The only thing left was to add a double kickstand and some lights. The kickstand is really important for a bike of this weight. In my case, the kickstand makes it easier to unload and load my young son from the bike trailer I pull behind me. I simply flip down the kickstand and then the bike is stable.

Zombiess is a builder who is bringing to market an oversized 25-lb hub motor (a large version of the 9C) which was designed for large 45-MPH Chinese electric scooters, but some daring E-bike  builders such as Zombiess have recently been adapting them to electric bikes, and of course…upping the voltage! Just like the Crystalyte 5304, Hubzilla motors are extra wide and they need a custom-built extra-wide frame. Zombiess managed to get his 59-MPH speed run proven and on youtube:
With newer approaches like the TRX, a strap attached to the wall or ceiling, you can do pull-ups, pushups, squats, lunges, and other exercises. I’ve even done the TRX routine in hunting camp, using a 20-foot length of nylon webbing as a poor man’s TRX. Kettlebell training will give you a great workout, too.
The first flat was on the rear wheel and it happened on the first day of riding. The BBS-HD is a complete ground-up rework for the most powerful and efficient mid drive unit on the market. The BBS-02 was a 9 FET 25A system based on the BBS-01. The BBS-HD has grown a lot in size up to 12 FET and can comfortable churn out 30A all day long without missing a beat. The size of the motor considerably larger than the BBS-02 so we’ve designed a cover that partially conceals the motor. The BBS-HD comes custom spec’d with the patented GearSensor as standard which you will need on those gear shifts. The BBS-HD is at the limit of what is viable on an e-bike for a mid drive powerplant. The GearSensor works with the motor and intermittently inhibits the power from the motor during each gear shift, to ensure you don’t throw a chain or damage the shifter and derailleur. We’ve tuned this system so you don’t have to.
If you buy a used or new bike, and you are going to use a mid-drive motor kit, don’t invest your money into the front derailleur or one with a nice double or triple crank set up front. You will be removing these components, if using the mid-drive kit. So, look for single speed bikes or fixies. The problem with fixie bikes is that they are generally a minimalist bike without eyelets for rack attachments etc.
After seeing these features, would you actually consider incorporating a bike into your hunt? The answer for me now is a definite yes, and when you see these things in action, you may be persuaded too.
The bag was on the larger side, but its breathability and excellent fit made it one of the most comfortable. All of these features comes at a price. The Osprey retails for $69.99, which is the second highest in our test.
I have one here in Dumaguete City nice thing is out electric power supply is geothermal. So completely eco friendly. But the speed is limited to 35 Kph and only 45k range. Perfect however for city like Dumaguete as its mostly pretty flat.

At the end of the day though, the one fanny pack I actually want to wear electric hunting bike discounts the Hunter. While all of the other bags were so big they left me wondering why the hell I left my backpack at home, the little Hunter bag felt just right. With just enough room for beers, a compact riding jacket, my phone, a wallet, and a miscellaneous item or two, I actually found myself (to my eternal shame) wearing it all the time on short rides or around town. No, it hasn’t replaced my Camelbak on enduro rides, but now I certainly understand what enduro bros keep raving about in those online forums.

At the same bike shop I also found a cargo rack that mounted over the rear tire. Next came a homemade bow rack consisting of a piece of aluminum tubing, purchased at a hardware store and a set of bow/gun holders designed to mount on an ATV rack or handlebars. To make the bow rack I attached the piece of aluminum tubing crossways at the farthest rearward portion of the cargo rack, using nuts and bolts, and then mounted the ATV bow/gun holder to that. It worked like a charm, and I was soon making it silently to my stand in a third of the time that it’d have taken me to walk.
At $75, the Hunter bag is not cheap. It also lacks the dizzying array of internal mesh pockets and fancy ventilated back panels of the other competitors, but it’s easily the highest quality. It’s also the perfect size. Unlike the other packs, some of which were designed with hiking or running in mind, the Hunter didn’t feel like a mini backpack. It was a no-nonsense bag with just the right amount of room. Plus it looks classy.
Farfle decided one motor was not enough for his latest race bike creation and took 2 Golden Motor Magic Pies and joined them into one. He re-made many of the parts inside the motor.  He then laboriously (over 40  hours)  rewound his Frankenstein hub motor (a grueling job) and cut air cooling holes to end up with one of the most powerful hub motors ever put on a bicycle .The bicycle itself was purpose built from Autocad files to welding bench, to final frame. This bike has a top speed of over 70mph and still is used as a commuter and has over a thousand miles on it.  Recommend Farfle to bulders everywhere: Build to last…
I have tried all manner of bikes in the woods and this fat bike is the best. It’s quiet, forgiving on rough terrain and its stable. Some might call fat bikes a fad or gimmick but I think they’re wrong. I moved to a Pugsley for hunting years ago from a hard tailed mountain bike because it was just plain more fun.
While the FAT bike tires may appear slow and cumbersome, nothing could be further from reality. Though they are certainly wider, and larger, than traditional 26” tires, FAT bike tires float over most surfaces and keep the bike’s steering lively and assuring. Depending on rider weight, FAT Tires can be inflated to pressures as low as 7pounds per square inch. Lower PSI is how you unlock the performance advantage of FAT tires. This larger tire coupled with lower-than-normal PSI inflation also serves a dual purpose: natural suspension. Over bumps, rocks, You’ll feel like you’re riding a cushy full-suspension bike, only it’s faster and more responsive. FAT tires allow the rider to sling shot themselves through the nastiest bumps in terrain. They also ride fantastically on road. You’ll feel like you’re cornering on a motorcycle as you lean into turns on a descent at high-speed.
As a hunter, there are many different ways that you can actually go about catching your prey. During bow season, many hunters look for the most reliable hunting bows that are also among the best rated among their peers. The only problem is there are so many bows that are on the market, it may be difficult to decide which hunting bow is the best.

Most bikes don’t regularly hit 50km/h on the flat so it’s pretty important to have exceptional stopping power. The Tektro Dorado 180mm hydraulic disk brake system feels as good as motorcycle brakes on the Hunter. The larger diameter disks provide even more leverage to stop the bike when needed. These brakes also have built in switches so when the brakes are used, the controller inhibits power to the motor as an added safety. They won’t fade, melt or warp even under the high demands of the Hunter.
